Things that make you feel good, things that make you feel bad ISBN: 9780744581980
Published by Walker, 2001
One of a series of square format books full of simple but expressive pictures in bright primary colours. Each double page spread has something good on the left and something bad on the right, and these things are usually connected: good equals macaroni cheese, bad equals tummy aches; good equals friends, bad equals bullies. Two of these spreads I would query: good equals sun, bad equals the dark; good equals bedtime stories, bad equals monsters. These could provide a catalyst for discussion, but they could also put ideas into children's heads that aren't necessary. Lots of humour (good equals chicken soup, bad equals chicken pox).
