A simple story about Jack, who must go to the doctor with gran because his ears have been hurting. The soft focus pictures are warm and reassuring and very realistic. We see Jack and gran having to wait rather a long time, the doctor (female) checking him over, gran collecting the prescription from the chemist, and Jack choosing a special treat cake at the bakery. Mum is told all about their adventures when she gets home from work. An excellent introduction to the doctor at just the right level for titchies.
