Basil is a little Brontosaurus, and when he is teased at nursery school about not having a brain, his mum tells him a special secret - that he has two brains, one in the middle of his back. Basil is overjoyed, but in his excitement at this information he becomes arrogant, rude and a bully. When his behaviour doesn't improve, he is expelled, and it is only when the meets a Tyrannosaurus Rex that he understands it isn't wise to be rude to others. There is a lot of wit and humour in this short (30 page) beginning reader, and the coloured comic-style illustrations add to the fun.
